I grew up in a small country church outside of Sulphur Springs, TX.USA. My parents were very active in church, my father was youth director & some times song-leader. When I was about 12 years old, I attended a youth camp where I, for the first time, understood that I, yes I personally, needed to be saved from my sins by putting my trust in Jesus. That day I accepted Jesus as my only Savior.
When I was 19, I turned my back on God to do my own thing in a life of sin and vice. But in 2001, I saw that, in spite of my sin, God's forgiveness is unconditional. I saw that He loved me and still desired to heal my burdens even though I was unfaithful to Him. I immediately, began to seriously pursue God, and was soon in my present church, New Beginnings Fellowship Baptist Church. God quickly worked in my life to clean me up.
In March of 2002, during a revival at our church, God called me to His ministry. I surrendered to His will (more like joyfully joined Him in His will) and began to minister in jails & prisons with Fruitful Harvest. In November of that same year, I gave myself to the Lord for the work of a missionary.
In June 2003, Fruitful Harvest was having a summer medical mission trip, and I went along with them to the Philippines. There I met some Filipino Christians & church workers who greatly influenced my life and ultimately led me to attend Bible college in the Philippines . After two mission trips, I gave up my business as an auto mechanic, my house, cars and things, to be full time in the Gospel ministry and go to Bible school.
With the approval of my church, in May, 2004, I moved to Cebu City, Philippines to prepare for Missionary service in the seminary there under Dr. Armie Jesalva. During my breaks in schooling, I continued to minister to the Filipino people through continued association with the ongoing ministries of Bible Baptist Church, Fruitful Harvest International Ministries and Philippine Inland & Island Missions. By God's grace, I graduated from the Bible College in Cebu in March 2007.
I returned to Texas in June 2007, to prepare for a church planting ministry concentrating on working with tribal groups in remote areas. The Lord has opened a door of opportunity during a survey trip, to begin a pioneering work in an area where there has been little, if any, evangelism. I returned to the Philippines in January 2008 to begin planting churches in Zamboanga del Sur, Mindanao according to God’s blessing.
